Why one team

Know your numbers are right. Know what they mean. Know what to do next.

Accurate books close the month. A three-statement forecast shows you what is coming. A CPA who has watched your numbers all year tells you what to do about it. One team, one relationship, one version of the truth.

The forecast is built on books we closed.

No reconciling someone else's chart of accounts before we can model anything. The close feeds the forecast directly, the same week it lands.

Tax planning happens before year-end, not after.

The people preparing your T2 have been looking at your numbers every month. Decisions get made while you can still act on them.

SR&ED is scoped as the year happens.

Eligible work gets identified and costed as it is incurred, not reconstructed from memory in month eleven.

One point of contact, one set of numbers.

You ask a question once. Nobody tells you to check with your bookkeeper on that.

How it works

Live before your next month-end.

Get confident that your financials are accurate, see the risks and opportunities sitting inside your numbers, and run your Canadian business with the financial firepower of a much larger one.

01

Discovery call

Thirty minutes on your business, your stage, and where finance currently hurts. You leave with a scope and a fee, not proposal theatre.

02

We connect and assess

Read-only access to your accounting platform. We tell you honestly what shape the books are in before we quote anything ongoing.

03

First deliverables inside a month

Clean close, a forecast you can take to a lender or a board, and a tax position you understand, signed by a CPA.

Questions Canadian founders ask us.

What does a fractional CFO cost in Canada?

It depends on scope and stage, which is why we confirm the fee at the discovery call rather than publishing a number you would have to caveat. What we can tell you: a fractional CFO engagement costs a fraction of a full-time CFO's total compensation, and for most early-stage Canadian companies it lands well below the cost of a senior full-time finance hire. We quote a flat monthly fee, not hourly billing.

Do you do personal tax returns?

No. We prepare Canadian corporate returns (T2) only, federal and provincial, plus SR&ED claims where the work qualifies. We do not prepare personal T1 returns, and we do not handle US filings. If you need those, we will tell you at the discovery call rather than after you have signed.

Do I have to buy all three services?

No. Bookkeeping, corporate tax, and fractional CFO advisory are each sold standalone with their own pricing. You can start with one, usually bookkeeping or tax, and add others as you grow. The advantage of taking more than one is that the work compounds: the close feeds the forecast, and the forecast informs tax planning.

What accounting software do you work with?

QuickBooks Online is our primary platform, and it is where our software integration is deepest. Our software uses your books read-only, so it reports on them without changing them. Xero and Sage support is on the roadmap.

Are you only available in Toronto and Montreal?

We are based in Toronto and Montreal, and we serve Canadian corporations across the country. The work is done remotely, with the discovery call and ongoing reviews over video. Corporate tax is prepared for federal and applicable provincial jurisdictions.

What makes June different from a traditional accounting firm?

Traditional firms tell you what happened, months after it happened. Because we keep your books and run our own forecasting engine on them, you get a closed month, a refreshed forecast, and a CPA's read on what to do next, in the same week. Same rigour, a quarter of the lag.

Talk to a CPA, not a salesperson.

Thirty minutes. We will tell you what we would do, what it costs, and if we are not the right fit, who is.
